Between the ice, snow and bone-chilling winds, a Minnesota winter can leave you wanting nothing more than to stay at home. Connecting with your neighbors is a great way to combat the isolation of winter, and St. Louis Park’s neighborhood associations provide the chance to do just that.
There are 26 of St. Louis Park’s 35 neighborhoods that have formally-organized associations with which Breanna Freedman, community liaison for the police department, encourages citizens to get involved. “Neighborhood associations not only offer the opportunity for residents to connect but also the city to build a relationship with neighbors and invite residents to become civically engaged,” Freedman says.
